New video

It's been a long time since I even picked up the video camera, and last night I got the urge to. Enjoy the nightly circus which is our living room :-)

You are my sunshine

Well, Finally some nice weather around here. The babies wanted to know if life exists beyond our front door. In fact, the babies took their first trip to Target last Thursday. We had to go to the Doctor late Thursday afternoon. Alex and Lila had to get another shot of the RSV vaccine. Wonder why Brandon did not get one? Well, so did we. Turns out out insurance would not approve his shot because he was above the weight requirement. Guess they figure he is large enough to fight off RSV if he gets it. Poor kid getting discriminated against for being big. Anyhow, I swear he was laughing as he watched his brother and sister get the shot. Here are the weights from our doctor visit.

Lila - 11.5 lbs

Alex - 12 lbs

Brandon - 13 lbs (and did a mention he is an inch shorter than the other 2 kids)

Below are pictures from our stroller outing around the hood on Saturday

Why does Gymboree make like 20 different styles of infant sunglasses for baby girls and zero for baby boys??
Well, at least Brandon has a hat even if he has no sunglasses.

And, Mr. Alex has a hat and LOTS of sunscreen since he has Daddy's complexion

All 3 babies on a lazy Sunday -

Kids For The Cure

Today was the Indianapolis Susan G. Komen Walk for the Cure. The babies are wearing "Kids for the Cure" onsies. They are wearing them to support our Nana Bonnie who is a breast cancer survivor. We are so proud of her and so happy that she is healthy. Next year we plan to walk (or ride in our stroller) on the walk with her. Sorry Alex is crying in this pic, but I cold not get a photo with all 3 happy.
Lila "dribbled" on her shirt, so she got changed into her favorite jammies. She loves the lady bugs. Also, she is enjoying trying out the bumbo chair.

Easter

We had a fun afternoon at Nana's. There were lots of Easter baskets!! Mommy and Daddy may have come home with a Cadbury's egg or 2 (or 3). And a whole flock of Peeps! [Editor's note: As I write this, one of the bouncy seats is playing a tune which sounds a whole heck of a lot like the theme song from the original Super Mario Brothers on NES. Awesome.]

Milo and Lila aren't quite sure about this headband...

Lila's happier now that Great-grandmother is holding her.

Alex is all dressed up and ready to go.

"Well, I don't know if I'd completely agree with that characterization of the International Monetary Fund's response to the current economic crisis. But, my stuffed friend, you are certainly entitled to your opinion, ill-informed as it may be. Kidding, friend, kidding. But on a more important note, is it regular formula tonight or chocolate formula?"

Take me out to the ball game.

It has been nice having my Mom and sister here this week. We always appreciate the extra help. Sadly Grandmom Deb has been a little under the weather this week.... so she has been washing her hands ALOT and check out the mask :) he he he.

Also, Aunt Jaime bought the kids Cubs onsies, so cute! She has promised to take the boys to game once they are big enough. Lila say the boys can go to the Cubs game while she checks out the American Girl Doll store.

Passover

No one told Daddy that he needed to wear green today! Here's a picture of the kids just before Passover dinner. They had delicious formula. The rest of us had soup, matzoh, chopped liver, gefilte fish, brisket... and lots of chocolate macaroons. And Easter dinner is just around the corner. What a wonderful, polytraditional weekend for our family!

2 nights in a row!

The physician-approved addition of rice cereal to the 11 p.m. feeding is having clear benefits. All 3 babies have slept through the night for the last 2 nights. By "through the night" I mean "no one woke up at 3:30." It's really more like a 6-hour stretch, but what a 6-hour stretch it is!!!

Brandon is still waking up first, but yesterday he slept until 6:15 and today until about 6:00. Of course, Daddy had to be up at 5:45 this morning for an early meeting, but thankfully those don't happen TOO often. Abby was prepared to go solo in the middle of the night, but she lucked out and B-dog gave her a break. Here's to continued infant restfulness!

Giant babies!

This just in...

Brandon (who was born the smallest) weighs in at 11 lb. 12 oz.
Alex weighs in at 10 lb. 13 oz.
Lila weighs in at 10 lb. 7 oz.

The doctor was happy with all their weight gain. It just seems that Brandon is separating from the pack :-)
